Chaga fungi (subcortical spinnerets) parasitize deciduous trees, primarily birch, in the northern hemisphere. They are found primarily in the forests of Siberia, the northern regions of China, and Canada, where they have been used in traditional medicine and religious ceremonies for hundreds of years.
