Red clay is a mineral that is mined in France. Its name comes from the color of the powder – yellow-brown, light brown to brown-red. Its pH is: 4.0–8.5.

Due to the detoxifying properties of red clay, it is used externally and internally. It is used to make masks for face (helps fight acne), the whole body (cleanses, reduces cellulite), and even hair (strengthens hair, nourishes the scalp). Adding it to a cream or tonic will make the oily complexion matte and the couperose skin less sensitive and red. What’s more, adding red clay to toothpaste will help strengthen the gums.

Thanks to its antiseptic properties, red clay will also be useful in the treatment of throat infections, while drinking it with water will help cleanse the body.
